I didn't expect to like this as much as I did. I've used it on several trailer tracks and the sound is incredible! NI has released another great one.

I always wanted a reverb like this even when it doesn't existed! Full and comprehensive EQ, the brightness, distance and thickness functions are absolutely awesome! The results are always beautiful. I can make easier mixes with that.

Overwhelming EQ.

The new frequency collision makes it the ultimate weapon in my arsenal. There is no better, just "another".

Actuate

This is a simple-yet-powerful synth and that becomes even more evident when we consider it's still a WIP/alpha software. I really enjoyed how it sounds and its modulation section reminded me a little bit of Odin2, which is another synth with deep capabilities and a straight-forward interface. I think that in the near future Actuate can become a reference FOSS synth alongside not just Odin2, but TAL NoiseMaker and Helm as well.

It goes without saying that the preset sounds are of high quality, but every sound is dramatic and wonderfully creative. Thanks for the useful product.

Last year I've been sequencing in Studio One, FL Studio 21, Serato Studio, Mixcraft, Cubase 13, etc...nothing comes close to the quality of tools and sequencing that comes with Reaper version 7, a beast of a DAW, among the top 3 on the market almost on par with Pro-tools and Logic X, with the lack of quality virtual synthesizers...and put a few hours playing at the beginning and you will see how impressive is REAPER .

Synthesizer V Studio

Version reviewed: 1.11.0 on Windows

SynthV is an amazing vocal synthesizer. The voices are all great quality and sound very real. It has voices in English, Japanese, Chinese, and they are starting to add Spanish too. It supports singing and rapping. I own Vocaloid and Synthesizer V and I find myself using Synthesizer V for when I want the singer to sound like a real singer and Vocaloid for when I want it to sound like an artificial voice. My favorite SynthV voices are Solaria (female) and Ninezero (male). I recommend you look at YouTube videos of SynthV with the different voices so you can get an idea of what you can do. There are plenty of videos, and also there is a forum for users to help other users and to ask questions, etc.

Soundop Audio Editor

Version reviewed: 1.9.5.3 on Windows

An audio editor that far surpasses other editors in the same category and even powerful Daws. With features such as VST and VST3 hosts, a standard editing section, this software offers a multitrack editing section, and complete mastering via a virtual mixer with everything you could want, bus, send and return, grouping and all the features a professional studio can offer.

I'm talking about Soundop Audio Editor, which brings together a series of options that will make your workflow fast, precise and perfect for real-time production.

With support for various formats, Soundop is a real Swiss Army knife that will unravel all kinds of heavy-duty work in just a few minutes.

Soundop audio editor has a rare feature in other audio editors, a multitrack section, that's right, an option exclusive to DAWs that has been built into this editor, offering the best of both worlds, with enormous ease of production. It's not common to find multitrack sections in audio editors. The most you'll get is track editing with 5 synchronized channels, normally for Dolby files. But in this editor, every producer's dream comes true by being able to capture, mix and master all the material needed for a professional production in a single program.

Soundop escapes the all-in-one rule where most do well at one point and fall short at another point in the project.

In this editor, all the steps of a production are handled with outstanding efficiency, nothing in it leaves anything to be desired. I tested all the features available and from simple editing of a stereo track, to mixing in several stereo/mono channels free to drag and drop the audio sample anywhere in the project, it's the Holy Grail for producers.

Editing a single file is fluid and has all the necessary tools for handling audio samples. Basic functions such as cut, paste, split, copy are available along with more sophisticated functions such as adjustable/automatic fade in/out, the mix function, where you can overlay previously copied sections, and functions for editing loops and much more. A highlight is the Autotrim function, which works perfectly and saves you a lot of time when editing.

The quality level of this editor is superior, and because of the above-standard quality, it makes the list as the first software that really produces professional audio on Windows. The capabilities, speed, stability and robustness of this software are simply incredible. For the first time I felt like I was using Windows as if I were using MacOs. The experience with. Soundop on Windows is surreal, you can simply do everything a professional-level audio editor does, and you even get multitracking and a mastering section, which is just fantastic.
