RAVEn - MIDI Sequencer/Looper App for Android

Hello everyone,

I've been working on a project I believe might interest some of you: a MIDI sequencer and Looper app for Android. It has some features that I think could really streamline the music creation process, like a 16 step MIDI sequencer, a grid-free loop recording mode, 8 MIDI tracks with 16 patterns per track, and so on.

What I'm really excited about is the integration with external software and hardware synthesizers. We're designing it to be able to plug directly into an external MIDI interface or connect directly to a PC to use it inside of your DAW. This makes it much easier to do live jams in DAWs. We also have touchscreen faders for controlling parameters through MIDI CC.

I would love to hear your thoughts about what you look for in such an app, and if you think these features would be beneficial in your music creation process. Any feedback would be really appreciated.

Unfortunately, it won't open past the load screen on my Pixel 4a running the latest version of Android 13. I just get a "Ravenseq isn't responding" message and I have to force quit.

I have tested on a couple of devices and never had that happen, unfortunately I don't have a Pixel 4a to try and reproduce this error. I will take note of this problem and see if there are any other users reporting similar problems.

On my Fairphone it opens fine, now I need to find my Midi interface…; - )
