I don't know if the original Jupiter 4 does pulse width modulation. But looking at the oscillator section on the Mercury-4, this does seem possible. However, I'm not hearing any PWM when I set the controls to what I think are the correct values:
Pulse Width (PM) to "Mod"
Pulse Width (PM) to the number 2 setting
Wave Form to the pulse wave on the far right of the knob
LFO set to a sine wave
LFO mod wheel control set to Off
LFO rate set to the middle of the slider
Please let me know what I am doing wrong.
Thanks!
Can the Mercury-4 (Jupiter 4) do pulse width modulation?

interesting. I do hear it modulate, but just not very much, subtle. no grand sweeping like other synths, but perhaps that is how the original Jupiter 4 handled it?
Try bumping your PM number up to 4 for the most effect maybe?
